Thanks to Empress Adelheid, the daughter of Queen Bertha, the Payerne community is affiliated to the large Benedictine monastery in Cluny (France).

Lugano is located on a southern tip of Switzerland, in the canton of Ticino, near the border with Italy, south of the Alps, in a Mediterranean climate.

The climate in the southernmost part of Switzerland is mild an d different from the rest of Switzerland. including in the world of plants.

 Lugano- with a population of 64.000, this town has an old quater that is typical of southern Switzerland. It has a wide array of notable buildings, opulant places, exclusive museums and parks filled with sub-tropical plants.
